Materials

Made from hypoallergenic and non-irritating foam in a distinctive solid orange colour.

How to use

  1. Roll and compress earplug into a small crease-free cylinder
  2. To ensure proper fitting, reach your hand over your head and gently pull your ear upwards and outwards. Insert the compressed, rounded end of the earplug well into the ear canal
  3. Hold for a few seconds until earplug expands

Remove: Slowly twist and pull out of the ear canal to prevent damage to the eardrum.

Precautions

  • When removing the earplug, twist slowly & gradually to break the seal. If rapid removal this may result in damaging the eardrum.
  • Improper fitting will reduce effectiveness.
  • Discard if earplugs come in contact with lubricants, solvents or chemical substances.
  • Keep away from infants and small children when not in use.
  • Note: Please discard after several uses or as soon as wax accumulates on earplugs.

Additional FAQs

What are the best ear plugs for snoring?

The best ear plugs for snoring depend on your comfort and the level of noise you need to block. Foam ear plugs expand in the ear canal, while silicone earplugs mould to the shape of your ear. There are also specialist options like noise cancelling earplugs for snoring and isolate ear plugs. For very loud snoring, dense high-decibel (dB) ear plugs for sleeping may be more effective. Ear plugs are rated by their Noise Reduction Rating (NRR), which typically ranges from 22 dB to 37 dB – the higher the rating, the more noise they can reduce.

How do I put ear plugs in correctly?

For foam ear plugs, roll the plug into a small, tight cylinder, then reach over your head with the opposite hand to gently pull your ear upwards. Insert the plug into the ear canal and hold it in place while it expands to create a snug fit. Silicone and reusable ear plugs are pressed or twisted gently into place. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions, as fitting methods can vary. Insert them carefully and never push them too deep, as this can cause discomfort or damage to the eardrum.

Is it safe to sleep with ear plugs in every night?

Ear plugs are generally safe to use every night, as long as you follow good hygiene. Wash your hands before handling them, clean reusable plugs regularly, and replace single-use foam ear plugs often. Keeping them clean and dry helps lower the risk of irritation, earwax build-up, or infection. Avoid pushing ear plugs too far into the ear canal, as this can cause discomfort or wax blockage. If you notice pressure, itching, or soreness, try a different type or size – or consult a healthcare professional for advice.

Do ear plugs damage your ears?

When used properly, ear plugs are safe and should not damage your ears. Issues usually arise if they’re inserted too deeply, used when dirty, or not replaced often enough, which can lead to irritation or wax build-up. To prevent problems, insert them gently, keep them clean, and follow the manufacturer’s replacement guidance. If you have ongoing ear problems, it’s best to speak with a healthcare professional before using ear plugs regularly.

Snore Calm ELITE Foam Ear Plugs

These are brilliant! work a treat – the easiest i’ve tried so far to fit in my awkward ears. I never seem to get headphone / earphones to fit me, and earplugs too. They are soft, and so not make your ears sore. They cut out sound well. They also don’t hurt to take out like some do.

Snore calm elite

I usually buy the ‘rhubarb and custard’ ear plugs but the good reviews drew me to these. I have no doubt that under tests they block out 37db but in reality this is not the case. I had to fiddle for ages to get them into my ears and I could still hear my husband’s snoring quite clearly. I have small ear canals and these ear plugs are far too large. I noticed from other reviews that others have made the same observation. They made my ears really sore. I’m afraid I am going back to my old faithfuls. Far better value for money.

Extremely Effective!

Having used ear plugs for the last 8 years due to my husband’s snoring, I had tried virtually every type of ear plug on the market. I’d settled with Quies foam ear plugs, though if I woke in the night it could still be quite difficult to get off to sleep again because they didn’t quite filter out the worst of the noise. I stumbled across the Snore Calm Elite Foam Ear Plugs whilst looking for a supplier of Quies and decided to try them due to the claim they had the highest noise reduction rating of 37db. I am absolutely THRILLED with them. The 2db extra reduction in noise seriously makes a difference from the previous earplugs – if I wake in the night I can hardly hear the snoring and find it really easy to get off to sleep again. They have a far superior fit and are very comfortable to use. If, like me, you need to wear ear plugs nightly, then in my opinion you can’t do better than these – they are extremely effective AND comfortable!

Snore Calm Elite

The ear plugs do completely block out noise. They are large and if you have small ear canals may find them uncomfortable but as I have used ear plugs every night for the last 15 years these beat the rest! I have scored them a a 9 due this possibility.

Effective!

I’ve used ear plugs by Quiet Time and Sleep Pretty in Pink. Snore Calm’s Elite plug work better than both. My only gripe is that Elite’s plugs have a more rubbery/sticky feel and may need to be disposed and replaced faster than the other 2 brands.
