Great temporary solution

I bought these chin-up strips to try out and they work pretty well. I snore because my jaw drops open, so if you snore in the same way then these strips will help by holding your chin up. It’s kind of like a big plaster which keeps your chin hanging from your cheeks. In terms of looks it’s not as inconspicious as the marketing photos. For it to work properly you really need to have the strip stuck on tight. For me I put it on so tight that it makes my face look slighty funny and I run the risk of having creases on my face. But as a temporary solution it’s excellent. It’s also a light and easy strip that’s easy to take around. The adhesive is strong and lets you restick it a few times. It also doesn’t have issues when you take it off in the morning. Sometimes the adhesive is so strong that I feel tempted to just duct tape my mouth closed! (It’d be far cheaper 🙂 )

Chin-Up Strips

I got these hoping they would control the mouth leakage that I was experiencing using CPAP. While they were better than chin straps and other products I had tried up to that point, they were not the answer. I had to resort to putting Micropore tape across my mouth. They are effective at holding mouth closed and if your problem was mouth snoring, I am sure they would be effective at controlling it. My only small criticism is that they are hard to remove. The glue is strong compared too the tape and they tend to rip leaving small fragments attached rather than coming off cleanly.

Good but uncomfortable

These worked and my wife was happy with the results, but they are a little uncomfortable. One major problem is that it is difficult to talk or drink whilst wearing them and as they are adhesive they are difficult to remove in the dark. That said, they are a good starter choice to prove that this solves the problem and then I’d recommend a more flexible option that allow easy removal and replacement.

Snore calm chin up Strips

These work well without doubt. A small problem regarding communication with partner in bed .. but I suppose non verbal communication is better than none and after a few uses I got more skilled at timing of putting it on. Feels very secure and lasts all night. An instant snoring remedy. Better than the nose strips I think.

Chin up strips

It was recommended that I try the chin-up strips because I was having some problems with my cpap. During the night my jaw would drop causing air to gush out of my mouth. This not only affected the quality of my sleep but the noise also woke my wife. I’ve been using the strips for a few months now and have found them very effective, however, even with my jaw held up I still sometimes get air escaping through my lips. On occasions I actually stick the strips accross my lips which cures this issue just fine. The only problen I’ve had is due to the extreme stickiness of the strips. They don’t seem too sticky when you first put them on but by the morning they are well and truly stuck. This has resulted in some irritation to the skin on my face and the odd sore. If you follow the instructions in the pack and use a small amount of vaseline on the skin before applying the strip then this is no problem at all. Don’t put too much on though or you’ll never get the strip to stick!
