Description
Nozovent® Nasal Dilator is a simple but proven top-rated product to help relieve the vibrations that cause snoring. Available in two sizes, Medium or Large. It opens the nostrils, allowing more oxygen into the airways. It is a small strip made from medical plastic that inserts into the nasal channels, and expands, allowing breathing to become easier. As a result, the soft palate does not vibrate as easily, you breathe easier and snore less. Easier on your throat too, and allows more oxygen into your lungs.
The Nozovent® Nasal Dilator is designed and made using a ‘springy’, flexible plastic (polyeteramid). It takes a little time to get used to, but with regular use most find that they forget its presence in the nose. In position, Nozovent® is anchored by specially designed nodules, which ensure that the device does not come into contact with the mucous membrane or become the cause of a nosebleed.

Regular use
After use, clean Nozovent® thoroughly with soap and water. It can also be sterilised in boiling water. With regular use, the device will give good service for up to three months before needing replacement.

Nozovent® is available in two sizes, Medium or Large. The most common is Medium, but there is also a Large size, for people with well-developed noses. It is important that you choose the correct size, so that your Nozovent is secure. If necessary, you can individually adapt the wings using a small pair of scissors. Remove as much material as necessary to ensure a good fit and the best possible comfort.

Do nasal dilators work and how do they help with snoring?
Nasal dilators don’t cure snoring, but they can make a real difference if your snoring is caused by blocked or narrow nasal passages. Worn inside the nostrils, they gently widen the nasal valves, reducing resistance and improving airflow. This can ease nasal-based snoring, support clearer breathing through the nose, and reduce mouth breathing.

What’s the difference between nasal dilators and nasal strips?
Nasal dilators and nasal strips are sometimes referred to as internal and external nasal dilators. Both aim to improve airflow, but they work in different ways:
- Internal nasal dilators (or nasal valve dilators) are small inserts worn inside the nostrils. They gently hold the nasal passages open and are usually reusable, providing consistent support throughout the night. Some are designed to provide extra support for weak or collapsing nasal valves.
- External nasal dilators (or nasal strips) are adhesive bands placed across the outside of the nose. They work by gently lifting the sides of the nose to open the airways.
Many people prefer the comfort and reusability of internal dilators, while others like the convenience of disposable strips.
Are there different types of nasal dilators?
Yes. Internal nasal dilators (sometimes called nasal valve dilators) are small, reusable inserts worn inside the nostrils, while external dilators (nasal strips) are disposable adhesive bands placed across the outside of the nose. You may also come across magnetic nasal dilators, magnetic nose clips, or nose magnets, which are a more recent innovation. These devices include small magnets and are designed to hold the nostrils open in a similar way, helping to improve airflow and reduce nasal snoring.
Are nasal dilators safe to use every night?
Most nasal dilators are safe for regular nightly use. Internal dilators can be cleaned and reused but should be replaced after the period recommended by the manufacturer for hygiene. External dilators (nasal strips) are single-use and should be discarded after each night. Always read the instructions for use, as these include important details on cleaning, replacement, suitability, possible side effects, and any cautions.
How do I clean a nasal dilator?
Reusable nasal dilators should be cleaned regularly to keep them hygienic and in good condition. After each use, rinse the dilator under warm water and gently wash it with mild soap. Allow it to air-dry completely before storing it in a clean case. Had trouble for years with narrow airways/nose blockage when sleeping, so tried these. Brilliant product! No irritation, easy to use, but best of all I sleep well as. I am no longer waking myself up by snorting! Strongly recommend, give it a go!

This really does help with clearing airways and the other indirect issues. the only downside was that, with my nose being a bit sensitive internally, they are a touch (not much ) harsh on the interior wall but the positives firmly outweigh this minor negative.

Years ago, I used to have a problem with snoring. This affected my sleep and I would wake regularly, usually with a headache and cause problems waking others with my snoring. I tried several methods and attended hospital for the problem. I then came across Nozovent and realised that having a small nose these were worth a try. They fit comfortably inside my small nose (I have the medium size) and I never snore when I use them.I am grateful to the person who came up with this excellent solution.

Due to an accident I have had trouble breathing through my nose for quite a few years now and have trouble getting off to sleep the nozovents are fantastic and help me get off to sleep by allowing me to breathe clearly through my nose, although they usually come out at some point during the night they are a great relief and help to me. Highly recomnded.
What snoring?
Really has worked for me having followed the questionnaire on the snoring site. My wife thoroughly approves.Previously used the external sticking plaster types but after prolonged use they made the skin on my nose sore and left a red mark.Only issue is they do come out in the night sometimes and they are very easy to lose. Left one on the bedside at an hotel and they obviously thought it was a piece of junk as it disappeared. Will buy more.
