The 100% natural, micro-diffused, sea water contained in Sterimar nasal spray is rich in marine minerals renowned for their therapeutic properties. These trace elements such as copper, manganese, gold, silver are all valued for their antiseptic, anti-inflammatory or anti-allergy properties. Sterimar is the gentle solution for decongestant nasal cleansing for all the family.
The salt-water softens and removes mucus from the nostrils, relieving congestion and making breathing easier. Sterimar can also help to relieve post-nasal drip, which is when mucus drips down the back of the throat.
The Sterimar range is non-medicated, meaning it does not contain any steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs or antihistamines.

The unique Sterimar microdiffusion technique consists of a GENTLE FINE SPRAY of sea water onto the nasal mucosa. These extremely fine droplets remain in contact with the nasal mucosa for a longer period which enhances the penetration of the nasal mucosa by the trace elements. The microdiffusion effect is produced by the specially designed nozzle. The exclusive nozzle is anatomically formed and self-blocking: it can be used as safely on the tiny nostrils of a baby as on those of an adult. The graduated diameter adapts to all nostril sizes and prevents any risk of accident when inserting the nozzle into a baby’s nostril. (The nozzle is incapable of causing injury or of penetrating too far into the nostril).
Each dose of Sterimar delivered is aseptic. The anti-reflux valve in the aerosol prevents air from entering the can. The solution remains perfectly aseptic after each use. Sterimar can thus be used safely again and again until it reaches its expiry date, even after multiple uses.
Sterimar Nasal Sprays are easy to use and are fitted with a nozzle which fits all shapes and sizes of nose.

- Prime the spray by briefly pressing the nozzle until a fine mist is produced.
- Keeping the head straight (do not tilt your head back), insert the nozzle into the nostril.
- Spray once or twice into each nostril. Do not sniff when you do this.
- Remove the nozzle from your nose, let any excess solution flow out and then blow your nose into a tissue.
- Clean the nozzle with soapy water, rinse and dry. This can prevent germs from building up on the nozzle.
