Looking in a mirror, press the side of one nostril to close it. With your mouth closed, breathe in through your other nostril. Does your nostril tend to collapse?

Is breathing easier when the nostril is propped open?

Can you breathe well through your nose with your mouth closed?

Do you experience nocturnal nasal congestion or other nasal issues (e.g., sinusitis, postnasal drip)?

Do you have any physical abnormalities in your nose (e.g., enlarged nasal turbinates, polyps, deviated septum)?
