So far so good

My wife tells me this works and she can sleep through. Hopefully this will continue working. There is a bit of discomfort in the mouth when it is in but it is worth it.

This works brilliantly and I adjusted to it within a couple of days. I had previously been unable to tolerate the various mandibular advancement devices and had also tried sprays and nasal strips and singing exercises. I am slim. I used the snorelab app to measure my snoring before and during the various treatments and my score dropped from 81 to 12 over 5 days with snoreguard - nothing else altered my score. My husband is delighted and no longer heads off to the spare room! I also use nasal strips - they don't work alone but, in combination with snoreguard, they ensure that I can breathe freely with my mouth closed. Peace has been restored!
Peace at last

I have worn the snore guard now for about four months and my partner says it's a God send. He estimates it has reduced my snoring by 95% and ensures him good night's sleep. It took me about four nights to get used to the guard and I adjusted it a couple of times to better fit my mouth but after that I have had few problems. In fact apart from a slightly dry mouth on occasions I think the snore guard makes me sleep better. Before using the guard I use to wake up with headaches and a sore throat, often feeling groggy, now I wake feeling rested.

A very simple and effective device, wish I'd got one sooner. It's easy to mould to fit, as long as you follow the detailed instructions. It was much more comfortable and quick to get used to than I expected (2 or 3 nights) and now I don't notice it. My husband is delighted that my snoring has stopped, and I'm sleeping better because I don't wake myself up by snoring!
Easy and convenient

The device is very simple to shape to the mouth. It fits comfortably at night and is simple to keep clean. If your problem is simply snoring with mouth open, this may be your solution.
Use Somni Snore Guard with CPAP to prevent mouth breathing
on the 17th Apr 2016
Wanted to write a review to let people know to use the Somni Snore Guard with CPAP to prevent mouth breathing. I have CPAP (12 pounds of pressure) and air will come out my mouth or I will swallow air (Aerophagia) unless I keep my mouth closed. I was using tape to tape my mouth closed (buteyko) for years but that is a major hassle to put on and get off in the mornings and the tape would eventually tear the skin around my lips. My spouse found the Somni Snore Guard which I probably would not have found on my own because the way the picture looks online it is hard to visualize how this will work with CPAP and how it will custom fit to your teeth. Make sure you watch the video, fit it correctly/evenly, and line up the "arrow" with the center line between your two front top teeth. It took a couple weeks to get used to it and I feel like I am much better off then with the tape which was terrible and really not a long term solution since it was starting to damage the skin around my mouth. Also, I grind my teeth at night and this is the only guard I have been able to sleep with/stand. I got more expensive ones from my dentist but they clipped on to my top two front teeth and were uncomfortable and pinched my teeth. I got more expensive custom fitted sleep mouth guards to suctioned my tongue but they were too uncomfortable. Heads up: Plan to brush the Somni Snore Guard every night before you go to bed with toothpaste or mouthwash to keep it clean and keep the slime off it. Plan to replace it every 3-4 months if you grind your teeth since I end up biting thru the sides of the guard over time. Only order from Amazon.uk or this site directly since there is a scammer site setup in Africa somewhere - almost bought it there by mistake. It is definitely worth a try so you can just order one to start and then after you get used to it determine if you like it and order more. I usually order a few at a time to save on shipping costs. Hope this review helps other CPAP users. Good luck!

I decided that I must do something about my snoring as it was keeping my husband awake. Also, I was waking up with a very dry mouth and sometimes a headache. I did the snore test on this website and as a result the Somni Snore guard was suggested and I bought one. Moulding it to fit my mouth was very straightforward and I gave it a try. It seemed very strange wearing it at first but after several nights it began to feel quite natural. Thankfully, my husband tells me that I am no longer snoring and I feel very relieved to have found an easy solution. And it is nice not be waking up with a dry mouth. .

I have found the snore guard an excellent product. I actually bought it to prevent myself biting my tongue during sleep, it worked for this but also my wife tells me my snoring has stopped completely. The fitting process is weird but if you follow the instructions its fine. I have had mine a few weeks so don't know how long it will last. I would certainly recommend it.

I had complaints from my husband because of snoring (he snores too but as he says doesn't hear himself). I was waking up all the time with a dry mouth. This device has transformed my sleep. It felt strange the first few times and I did mould it a couple of times to get a good fit. I quite like using it now, it must be what a child feels with a soothing dummy ! I see some people have reviewed and said expensive for what it is. The difference it has made to me has been worth every penny. Excellent product for me, probably not for everyone but great for me.
