The mouthguard seems to reduce the sound of my snoring so I am keeping my fingers crossed! When i did the snore tests., I snored with my mouth open but not closed . The trouble is that as soon as I drop off to sleep I start snoring if not wearing the guard. Also when I am asleep I do snore with my mouth closed although I couldn't when awake.
works but uncomfortable

I found that the somnoguard 3 works in the sense that the snoring is greatly reduced. The hole in the mouthpiece is breathable, but it feels very uncomfortable to me and sometimes makes me wanna throw up. I am used to wearing a mouthpiece in sports, so it is not that per se.
It does what it says on the 'tin'

This little device does work and it has stopped my snoring completely. However, it is quite difficult to get it to fit. The procedure to soften the plastic and mould it to your own mouth is quite involved and you don't get many chances if you get it wrong. Because it is crucial to get the device into your mouth while it is still malleable I was a bit panicky (not wanting to waste £37). When the device had been softened it was less obvious which was the top so I ended up putting it in my mouth upside down. I suggest you write something on the wooden spatula, which is used to hold it, to identify the top and bottom.I used the device in the upside down moulding for a few nights and it did stop me snoring but I felt that it would probably fit better if it was the right way up. I had another go at moulding it but this time the right way up. It ended up a bit lopsided and I found it made my back teeth ache on one side so I have had to have another go at moulding it to try to get it in the middle of my mouth.I also found it extremely difficult to gauge if I was pushing my bottom jaw forward enough once the device was in my mouth and being moulded, and almost impossible to push my tongue against the bottom part of the device while sucking in and biting hard - all at the same time. I hope that I now have it correctly fitted and I also hope that it lasts a long time because I don't fancy going through all that again!

I bought this after doing the online questions and reading the reviews. I was a bit sceptical that it would work as I have tried other remedies in the past. However I am delighted and surprised to report that I have not snored since the first night I used it.I do find that it rubs my gums during the night (perhaps I have not fitted it right) and they do feel very tender in the morning almost with ridges on them. I am hoping that this will ease as the product actually does what it says on the tin and stops you snoring, much to my partner and my delight.I have marked it a 7 only because my gums are sore but for effectiveness i would rate it a 10.

I have had success with this product although I do find I tend to push it off my teeth during the night and hold it in my mouth. I think the breathing hole is too small even when I put a breathe easy strip on my nose and I need to breathe around the device.I was warned by my dentist to have a device that covers all of the teeth including the back ones. I find this doesn't and when I stopped using it for a while I had bad toothache in my back teeth. My dentist explained this is because the teeth sort of grow and fill the gap left because of the extra distance between my teeth at night created by the device. Hence I would make sure this covers all of your teeth or recommend one being fitted professionally.

I bought this after completing the snore test. It seems to have done the trick which is a relief as it is expensive. My family have not complained since I started using the guard. It is difficult to fit, especially trying to get the jaw in the correct position. I am a little concerned about the long term use of this on my teeth and am going to speak to my dentist as I'm not sure I fitted it correctly. It's not particularly comfortable to wear but if it stops snoring it's a small price to pay! If you snore because of tongue vibration give it a go.

Recently purchased one of these products for travel, already have a cpap machine . Afraid the water was too hot in the pan and it stuck to the bottom despite the spatula I couldn't get it outo, had to use a dinner fork, and by then it was very distorted. Most of the material seemed to be in front of my teeth very little behind. Difficult to estimate how advanced the upper teeth are if at all. Tried it for a few nights dot think it's for me,may suit others.,as I have a problem with my right nostril when lying on my right. Donal

After a couple of weeks of trying to get used to what is in essence a fused together top and bottom gum shield my wife says my snoring has improved.I however struggle with it a bit as it does give you very dry lips during the night and can hurt your gums

I did the snore test but I already knew about my snoring as it was 'diagnosed' by a dentist I was with some 10 years ago, who recommended a similar product and fitted it for me. I was not able to replace the product as my new dentist refused to fit it. I bought this one because it says you can fit it yourself - although maybe not as efficiently as a professional. It is also good value as my dentist would charge over £300 for a custom made anti snoring device. I have downloaded an app on my mobile to record my snoring and the Somnoguard has cut my snoring from over 4 hours a night to about 30 mins. However it has not eliminated it. I am afraid to re shape it too many times as the instructions say you should do this only once.

Seems to work - I have only used once so far as concerned about having my jaw in the position suggested (I have worn braces in the past to move my jaw backwards i.e. in the opposite direction that it now sits with this device if I were to wear it over night.) Fitting is recommended by a professional but I managed - a little tricky but achievable.
