I bought this product in February and have found it to be excellent; I have now bought a second one just in case I lose the original, as I wouldn't like to be without it. It takes no more than a few days to get used to it, it is not obtrusive and it has eliminated my snoring. My wife now has no trouble sleeping beside me. I had been prescribed a CPAP device but found it absolutely impossible (and expensive). The Somonguard SP Soft did the business!

It works for me and used with Nozovent stops both throat and nose snoring. Great product but does break too easily. Quite expensive so be prepared to buy when 1/3rd off offers are available - usually once or twice a year. Good luck.

I bought this product several weeks ago and to my surpriswe it has been very successful. I did the snore tests which indicated that this device was what I needed and my wife says that my snoring has mainly stopped with only occasional sounds meaning she gets a nights sleep. The device takes a bit of getting used to but with perseverance it is fine.

I have been using this for several weeks now and it works. My husband says I still make the occasional noise (which is my sleep apnoea) and that is still snore slightly but the extra loud snoring that kept the whole neighbourhood awake has stopped. Although it is comfortable enough I still wake up during the early hours of the morning and take it out as it makes my teeth ache a bit - but I would recommend this to everyone that snores.

I have known that I snore for years, people have never hesitated to tell me and it has all been a bit of a joke for everyone except me! Fortunately my partner sleeps like a log and has rarely complained. I have only tried to do something about it when I have been sharing a room with another person, and nothing has ever worked. I have tried sprays and drops and nasal strips, and once a much cheaper MAD. A few months ago my partner described what sounded like sleep apnoea to me. I had a holiday planned with a girlfriend, so I trawled the Internet, did the snore tests on this site and ordered a SomnoGuard SP. I thought I was probably throwing my money away but was feeling desperate. The first two weeks of wearing it were really difficult as I had a very painful jaw each morning and found it uncomfortable to eat. I persevered because my partner said it worked and I adjusted it to the longest strap. After 2 weeks it steadily became more comfortable and after a month it felt absolutely fine. No one has heard me snore since, result! I have now been wearing it every night for 3 months and am very happy with it. Yes I go to sleep each night with a mouth full of plastic but it just shows what you can get used to. Recommended.

I deliberated for many months before purchasing this, as it did seem to be expensive (and I still think it is) but I have no regrets now and wish I had made up my mind earlier. I made my decision after trying the snoring tests on the website which were very helpful. Fitting the device was much easier than I expected (even after watching the video a few times) but one needs to be careful that no metal (such as tweezers or tongs) touches the gel while it is hot, after coming out of the boiling water, as the gel sticks to the metal and can spoil the result. The fit is excellent and neither upper or lower teeth dislodge during the night. It took a week or so to become used to the device in the mouth but after that it was quite comfortable. I do not dribble any more than I used to during the night, can breathe through my mouth if I want to, can move my lower jaw from side to side and I do not get any tooth or jaw aching. Best of all, my wife has no complaints, at all, after years of putting up with my loud snoring! An excellent result!

My snoring was making it impossible to sleep with my wife. I have found this product very effective in alleviating my snoring problem; it is still too soon to be conclusive but the initial experience, over three weeks, is that my snoring is greatly reduced, and my wife can get a comfortable night's sleep beside me. It took a week to get used to having the guard in my mouth, and I still occasionally find it uncomfortable and remove it if I wake during the night - but this does not diminish the benefits, as I tend not to snore then.It is by far the most effective and usable product that I have found, having tried other gum shields etc and I can recommend it to others, to at least give it a trial.

Having had an unsuccessful uvulopalatoplasty, I was very sceptical about whether the device would work or even whether I would be able to tolerate it in my mouth. However with the prospect looming of a holiday where my wife and I would have to share the same bedroom for 3 weeks, I felt I had to try something and I was recommended by the local Hospital Sleep Consultant to try a mandibular advancement device. Previous holidays had been marred by sleepless nights for both my wife and myself, but to my surprise the device was a great success and we did not have one night disturbed by my snoring. It took only a few nights to get used to having the device in my mouth and there was only minimal discomfort. I am very pleased with the result.

I've been using this product for the past two weeks. Prior to this product I was using the SomnoGuard AP. It's doing a good job so far. I hope it holds up as well as the SomnoGuard AP. It does put an end to my snoring.

I did the snoring tests and tried the nasal dliator first but although this greatly improved my breathing it did not stop the snoring. The MAD along with the nasal dilator has effectively stopped my snoring. The device takes some getting used to. I find it quite difficult to get in place and uncomfortable for a short while but it is not stopping me from getting off to sleep and I do think that I am sleeping better with it in, which suggests that my snoring was disturbing me as well as my husband. My husband is very pleased at having a peaceful bedmate.
